The orca belongs to the dolphin family and is immediately recognisable by its distinctive black and white colour. Animals swimming beneath it often overlook him, as its white belly can hardly be distinguished from the light surface of the water. It is also very difficult to see from above, as its dark back seems to blur with the sea floor.
